To other Latinx communities without institutional archives

We are aware that we work with institutionalized archives, and that currently not every New York Latinx community has an institution dedicated to preserving its histories and experiences. We are aware that your histories and experiences are also marginalized by the dominant national narratives, and we know that while your communities may not have the same level of demographic or institutional representation, you have vital stories to tell. We are indebted to you and our practice must include you. We need to reach out to your communities and get to know your history, because the archive is also in your bodies and your voices.
