 McDowell, Yonghong L

Is currently an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, York College, City University of New York (CUNY). Ms. McDowell earned her M.Phil Degree in 2018 and MA degree in Mathematics in 2015 both from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Columbia University. Ms. McDowell received her BS degree in Mathematics in 2014 from York College, CUNY. In addition, Ms. McDowell is receiving her PhD in Mathematics Education at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Columbia University in June 2021. Her dissertation is about calculus misconceptions of undergraduate students and her interests of study are with the field of Mathematics (e.g., Differential Equations, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra) and Mathematics Education (e.g., calculus education).

Srivatanakul, Thitima

Is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at York College. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2005 and Master degree in Software Engineering in 2001 both from the University of York, United Kingdom. Dr. Srivatanakul also has a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Dr. Srivatanakul's scholarly interests lie in the field of web security, software engineering and on social media. Her recent research includes work in the area of security analysis, uses of social networks in education, digital literacy and the use of online surveys.

Tsan, Katherine

Is the OER Coordinator and Instructional Technologist at York College, CUNY and OER Fellow at Baruch College. In 2019-2020 she is serving as an OER Research Fellow at the Open Education Group, focusing on digital pedagogy and open resource creation. She holds an M.L.S. from Queens College with a concentration in Academic libraries and Archives and a Ph.D. in Modern European History from Yale University.
