Fostering Gendered Subjectivities Through Scripture
Student ethnographers were driven to houses of worship given how often religion not just influences, but fosters traditional roles in society. In this way, religions maintain the status quo over time through traditions. The places of worship featured in this collection range from Catholic to Protestant Christian Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues.
Some overlapping architectural styles common in Judaic, Christian, and Muslim traditions. Montreal, Canada.
