Culturally Relevant Applications at Brooklyn College

In the Spring 2026 course Advanced Study of Pedagogy and Curriculum in Childhood Education I, taught by instructor Herline Honorat, students completed a culminating project in which they applied their learning of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (CRP) to their professional practice. The students, teacher education candidates including 3K–5 classroom practitioners, paraprofessionals, and after-school educators, developed projects that blended reflection, analytical writing, and lesson planning on a range of topics related to CRP. We hope this collection serves as a valuable resource for 3K–5 practitioners and educators beyond.
