Paul Moses 9/11 Documents Collection

This collection contains materials produced by Professor Emeritus Paul Moses, who taught journalism at Brooklyn College and the CUNY Graduate Center. Moses worked as a reporter, writer, and editor at Newsday. Research, background materials, and notes within this collection were used to write articles about the World Trade Center attacks for Newsday. The collection is arranged in five series: Articles, Testimonies, Research, Logistics, and Newsprint.

Brooklyn College Listening Project

The Brooklyn College Listening Project, started in 2015, is an oral history project that captures stories about experiences in Brooklyn. One oral history recording from 2015, which is available online via JSTOR, includes details about the narrator’s experience as a Muslim in the aftermath of 9/11.

Brooklyn College Yearbook Collection

In 2003, students documented the campus’s reflections commemorating the anniversary of 9/11 in that year’s edition of the Broeklundian yearbook (pp. 102-103). This is digitized and available online via JSTOR.

Brooklyn College also has unprocessed materials that are related to students’ experiences and reflections about 9/11, including materials from an English class that met during Fall 2001, and a publication.
