LaGuardia Community College La Guardia and Wagner Archives
Queens / Local History Collection
This collection is vast, comprising twelve series with about 4,500 photographs, 100 videos, nearly 200 artifacts, and oral histories and documents. The materials date from the 1800s to the modern day depicting the social, political, and economic history of Queens.
Three artifacts within this collection related to 9/11 include a helmet, a face mask, and boots, which are available to view digitally through the online collections database, by searching the Artifacts format with the keywords “World Trade Center”.
Also within this collection, The La Guardia Community College Student Papers Document Series contains 47 records in subseries World Trade Center -9/11/2001. Thirteen of these records are digitized and accessible through the online collections database by searching the format Documents, series La Guardia Community College-Student Papers, and sub-series World Trade Center -9/11/2001. There is also a small number of recently received newspapers that are not yet processed.
Additionally, there are legislative materials within other collections that are not yet processed and may not be available to view.
