Concert pianist Adam Tendler's album Inheritances (New Amsterdam Records) is nominated for a 2026 GRAMMY ® Award in the Best Classical Instrumental Solo category. Borne of experiences listening to the studio album and Tendler's live performances, including an August 2025 Inheritances performance at the Hudson Valley contemporary music venue PS21, this concise, informal piece of scholarship starts to explore some of the possible literary-poetic elements of the Inheritances project and of the conversation it has already sparked in the mainstream media.
