The Decay of Capitalist Civilization

Sidney WebbAuthorBeatrice WebbAuthor

An analysis of certain social and moral issues that arose from Britain's capitalist economic system. The Webbs argue that the hyper-individualist logic that capitalism relies upon, though initially beneficially, has since led to the moral, social, and economic decay of the nation. They use extensive empirical evidence to propose that the country would be well-served to incorporate some socialist principles and structures.
