Anti-War Activism
This series of flyers illustrates the strong anti-fascist movement at CCNY from 1935 to 1939. The protests were led by The National Student League, the Student Council Executive Committee, and the Young Communist League, among other organizations. Students advocated for the embargo of Nazi Germany and support for Spain. CCNY activists organized meetings, strikes, events, and gatherings to rile up fellow students in the fight, which also included the opposition to the Italian invasion of Ethiopia in 1935. This collection was co-curated by Scarlet Almanzar, Adonis Anderson, and Kimberly Geraldino.
