Suzanne Kite & Alisha B. Wormsley, Cosmologyscape (2024), Creative Time, NYC, Web Project
Full description
Cosmologyscape is a public art project by artists Suzanne Kite (Oglála Lakȟóta) and Alisha B Wormsley, commissioned by Creative Time. At this link, they invite you to "tap into the cosmic quilt of their dreams." The website allows users to share the narrative of a dream in text. Each dream shared with Cosmologyscape will be interpreted into a pattern generated from 26 Black and Lakota symbols created by the artists. These patterns make up the quilt found on the landing page of the project's website. As a public art project, it includes this dream site, a Day of Dreaming on the summer solstice, and a series of sculptures unveiled during the fall equinox.
