Entry by Justin Guzman: Shamisen

Shamisen
Full description
Here was have a generic photo of the Shamisen. It was a famous instrument that was played in many traditional plays and pieces that were known everywhere. Notably this was one of the main instruments used when music was played in the Kabuki Theatre. The instrument can play a variety of tones that have a very unique sound compared to other instruments. The instrument itself has a square body and resembles an american banjo (although they sound very different).
