This flyer was crafted and distributed in the fall of 1935 by the CCNY Young Communist League and the Communist Party Unit. It announces a rally for peace to be held in Shepard Hall on November 8 and the students’ demands for the US to defend Ethiopia against the Italian invasion. The initiative announced on the flyer exemplifies the ability of CCNY student activists to create coalitions with grassroots political, religious and cultural organizations for peace. Mendy discussed the need to support Ethiopia in the essay "World Politics and Ethiopia."
