Galis remembers Santiago Guibert, "Nanano," as one of Los Hoyos' great players and describes his creation of the "Paaan" tambora accent. He also discusses the introduction of the brake drum by La Conga de Los Hoyos and recalls his 1963 conversations with Julian "Suñita" Garbey, who had directed the group in 1914 when they introduced their unique and influential style of conga.
