U.S. Embassy sponsored tour (with saxophonist Chansse Evans as musical accompanist during jazz-and-blues-and gospel haiku presentations) in West and Central Africa; Accra, Ghana; Douala and '/ aoundé, Cameroon; and Abidjan, Ivory Coast. An imperfect close-up of me, at FESTAC '77 JAE, 29.03.07 World War Two Campaign and Service Ribbons;: U.S. Army Commendation Ribbon; U.S. Army Good Conduct Ribbon; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with three bronze stars; World War Two Victory Service Ribbon; Philippine Liberation Ribbon; Photo I took at FESTAC '77. Tall man was an organizer; his left arm is around Louise Merriweather (w/ whom I danced for what seemed like 45 min w/o stopping in a large grassy place).
