Leslie Scalapino and Petah Coyne
It’s go in/ quiet illumined grass/ land has been composed for and with sculptor and visual artist Petah Coyne’s installation White Rain. The work of Coyne serves as a visual metaphor for much of Scalapino’s writing and is an important references throughout Scalapino's cosmology. But the lines of their convergences run much deeper. Awash in each others language the artist and the poet have nourished a lifelong friendship and artistic exchange.
