Full description
These young workers used to be laundresses, embroiderers, seamstresses, weavers, ironers, and would also make gloves, and other items. Their jobs were usually seasonal and poorly paid. Yet, since they worked for the fashion industry, these women used to love dressing as elegantly as their means would allow, and attending balls.
