"Plaque of the Ergastines" fragment from the frieze on the east side of the Parthenon

This Khan Academy Art History video delves into the artistic and historical significance of the Parthenon marbles, as well as presenting an analysis of the frieze in question. It notes towards the end that Greece has asked for the Louvre and the British Museum to return these artifacts, and indeed has built a custom museum to house them, should they ever be repatriated.
