Terracotta Neck Amphora (Jar) with Lid and Knob
This Greek amphora, attributed to Exekias, depicts a horse-drawn chariot scene. There is an audio resource that details the method through which the amphora was made. It also describes the amphora, and makes notes of its incredible state of preservation, with the lid still intact. The audio resource freely admits that it is unknown whether the procession was of a divine nature or of a more terrestrial nature. However, this underscores an important aspect of the Greek pantheon, in that they looked like humans, acted like them, and had the same petty squabbles as them, albiet on much larger scales and with far higher stakes.
