Bertha (b. 1943) is widely recognized as the "diva" of Afro-Cuban folkloric music in Oriente. She was a founding member of Grupo Folklórico de Oriente in 1959 and appears in Rogelio Paris' *Nosotros, La Musica *(1964). Her memories are featured in "Lo máximo", "Made in the Shade", and "Remembering the Rhythm Aces."
