Gerald Burns

“Life” from Wikipedia

He was educated at Harvard University, Trinity College, Dublin, and taught at Southern Methodist University and New York University. This drawing is part of a letter from Burns to Ralph Maud. The letter resides in the Maud / Olson Library in Gloucester, MA. In 1975 Burns moved to Dallas, Texas. In 1994, he moved to Portland, Oregon. Burns illustrated several of his own books, and designed the covers for Boccherini's Minuet and Prose. In addition to his writing and art, Burns also dabbled in amateur conjuring.

Arch Angel Olson flies over his Polis as Our Lady of Good Voyage Smiles.
