4. Map of GI Forum Chapters Founded by 1974

After its founding in 1948 in Corpus Christi, the American GI Forum quickly spread to cities and towns throughout Texas.


As the map below shows, by the 1970s, auxiliaries had been organized throughout much of the United States.
