University of the future

Aaron Kadoch (The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point)
Robert Marans (University of Michigan)
Jennifer Senick (Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey)

Following our presentations and discussions we had during different IAPS- conferences, we want to join and invite other researchers and practitioners, who want to support their own Universities to become more sustainable. Now many Universities have signed the “Third Mission” statement in Europe and are belonging to the Star Alliance in North America, also in other Continents the University of the Future is a topic, whenlooking e.g. at Stellenbosch in South Africa or Aureville in South of India, where the University 4.0 is going to be designed.

We want to work on our scientific approaches and see where the interfaces are and do design a joint research approach; it will be a mix of presenting, what we already presented in the last IAPS meeting in Rome 2018 and continue from this on. It will be a format of intensive interchange using the Pro Action Café format (see Art of Hosting). The presentations and interchange on our different approaches will be briefly demonstrated and joint research and practical scientific projects will be discusses and further developed. We will follow our approaches of basic theoretical concepts and corresponding measure (e.g. sustainability consciousness, collaboration, leadership, art performance, etc.).
