Resource Guide Instructions
Our Course:
Each student will contribute at least one paragraph reflecting on the course. Consider any combination of the following questions (or your own related questions):
Why did you take this course? Which aspects were most interesting and why? What have you gained from the course? What changes would you make to the course?
Our Vision:
Each student will contribute at least one paragraph addressing their Black diasporic vision. Consider any combination of the following questions (or your own related questions):
How would you describe your vision for the Black diaspora? Discuss strategies or frameworks for (de)constructing modes of power that seem most relevant and explain why.
Our Contributions :
Each student will contribute an abstract summarizing the main points of their op-ed (approx. 300 words). Provide an additional sentence or two in italics at the end of your abstract that includes your name and highlights your expertise.
Each student will also contribute their finalized keyword entry and add all references to the collective keywords work cited section in alphabetical order. *In the end we will likely use APA format, but continue to move forward as is. We will discuss in class and determine as a collective.
Resources:
Each student will contribute at least 3 resources that are relevant to Black diasporic visions / (de)constructing modes of power that speak to any range of our course topics (ie, love, legacy, memory, transformation - see the second column in the syllabus). These resources may be ones that you have shared throughout the semester or sources that you would like to include in the syllabus. They may be multi-media, but they should be open access. Provide a brief annotation of at least 3 sentences explaining the resource and its value. *In the end we will likely use APA format, but continue to move forward as is. We will discuss in class and determine as a collective.
