MAPLEWOOD, Minnesota - 3M Company (originally known as Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company) will launch its new Post-It Notes product. It is strong enough to bind papers to a surface, but allows the paper to be removed from the surface without tearing the paper. This allows it to be conveniently used to post colorful notes around the office and home.

"Stick n' Peel” notes are distinctive canary yellow pieces of small paper in standard sizes as well as eight-½ by 11-inch format that will stick to any surface, including paper. The adhesive can also be reused repeatedly. Denver, Colorado; Tampa, Florida; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Richmond, Virginia will be the first four cities to have the "Stick n' Peel” starting Monday, October 3rd.

Spencer Silver, a researcher at 3M company, added more of the polymerized molecule's chemical reactant while making a powerful adhesive for the airline industry. The result was, in his words, "quite astonishing. Instead of dissolving, the small particles that were produced dispersed in solvents." Silver was intrigued by this new reaction and decided to experiment further. His experiments resulted in what Silver called a "high 'tack', but low 'peel'" adhesive that was also reusable.

Arthur Fry, a product developer at 3M, needed a way to mark pages in his hymn book without having bookmarks fall out. He was a church choir member at St. Paul's North Presbyterian Church. Fry received a sample of Silver’s adhesive to create a sticky bookmark for his hymn book. After trying it out, Fry noticed that the glue left some residue on the book's pages, but otherwise solved his problem. Fry experimented until he developed a way of making the adhesive less sticky on the pages. Fry realized he had a real-world use for Silver's adhesive invention.

Launching the "Stick n' Peel" will be highly beneficial for other organizations and students as it will enable them to mark pages in books and write little notes. The product will revolutionize the office supplies industry. 3M company is developing future similar products that will facilitate the life of any worker or student.

For When You Need a Note. Post-It Notes Make Your Job Easier.

by John Martinez

For when you need a note. Post-It Notes make your job easier.

3M, creators of Scotch tape and other adhesive products, is pleased to announce the launch of its newest product, Post-It Notes. The brainchild of our product scientists, these adhesive pads are strong enough to stick to paper but won’t rip when taken off, making them perfect for when you have to make a note at work or at home.

Post-it Notes were created in 3M labs in the search for new adhesives, with our scientists accidentally creating a glue they describe as “high tack, low peel.” This adhesive, when combined with paper, makes it ideal in its use of notes and bookmarks. All a person needs to do is stick the note to what they need and when they no longer need it, just peel it off with no damage to the paper.

“Note-taking is a key aspect of office jobs around the world, but sometimes you just need a quick reminder for an important appointment or note for later. With that in mind, we designed these sticky pads to facilitate this process, creating a quick and easy solution for office workers to make quick notes,” said Mike Roman, CEO of 3M. “In trials of the product, 95% of people who tried using Post-it Notes incorporated it into their workflow, creating an easy solution to the problem of note taking.”

Post-It Notes will be launching later this year in most stores that sell stationery products. For more information, please see our website at www.3m.com on the the launch of Post-it notes. You can also call us at 888-364-3577 for further information.

Dyson is Bringing a Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to the U.S. Market

by Branka Romih

For immediate release:

Dyson Appliances is finally bringing its newest invention, a bagless vacuum cleaner to the U.S. market after great success in Japan and Britain in 80s and 90s.

Dyson Appliances invented a vacuum cleaner that uses cyclone tower efficiency to separate dust and debris from the airflow while vacuuming. This eliminates dirty vacuum bags and instead employs a clear container as a dust collector.

Dyson vacuums come in bright fun colors with a slick design for easy handling. Their main advantage is strong suction that provides deep carpet cleaning to capture dust, pet hair, and dirt. Their translucent dust containment section allows customers to see their cleaning effectiveness first-hand, leaving their homes clean, allergen, and dust free. To learn more about Dyson Appliances visit: https://www.dyson.com/vacuum-cleaners/shop-all

Due to their new technology, Dyson vacuum cleaners have superb performance as it does not clog easily and is more efficient at picking up dust and dirt. The purchasing price for this high-end vacuum cleaner starts at $399. Although this may sound high, it is cost efficient as it no longer requires vacuum bag replacement.

Whole Foods Provides a Healthy Dietary Balance for Our Customers

Whole Foods Provides a Healthy Dietary Balance for Our Customers

Macintosh HD:Users:dinosossi:Documents:-------------------CUNY-TLH-Summer2022-----:-TLH-Content,etc.:PressReleases:Williams.Shonelle-WholeFoods-ScreenShot-JustImage.png

Whole Foods started as a business idea and blossomed into one of the most significant American chain supermarkets that specializes in natural and organic food. What began with a twenty-one-year-old borrowing $45,000 from family and friends, eventually became a large chain.

Whole Foods’ success is based on a concept stemming from the owners wanting to deliver wholesome and healthy food to its customers. Whole Foods delivers on its promise of natural food free from pesticides. It provided customers with a healthy option for cooking and or eating. It resembles your local fruit stand, but delivers to your home.

Whole Foods’ owners wanted to provide highly-nutritious food products and encourage customers to be healthier. The thinking behind this is to focus on foods that are in, or close to, their natural state when you buy them.

Back in the 1980s, Wholefood was founded in Austin, Texas, by a local businessman and immediately earned success. What started as a small local store has expanded to over 500 locations, 350 cities, and 44 states. In 2020, Whole Foods’s income was approximately US$700,000.
