Dear Lehman Community,

On behalf of the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Excellence in Education and Community Conference (EECC) Steering Committee, thank you for your interest, participation, and contributions to the meaningful exchange that took place over three amazing days at EECC’26: Moving the Needle—From Practice to Impact.

As our second annual conference, EECC continues to grow as a space where ideas, experiences, and practices come together in ways that center equity, community, and impact. This year’s pre-conference virtual forums—“Strengthening Access and Persistence Beyond Traditional Learning Spaces” and “Emerging Challenges and Opportunities in the Classroom”—set a powerful foundation for rich dialogue and reflection. From there, our in-person gathering carried that energy forward, grounded in connection, collaboration, and a shared commitment to student success.

We are deeply grateful to our keynote speaker, Dr. Teresita Levy, for sharing and inspiring us all with her heart-warming and thought-provoking talk Hands-On, Heart-In: Find purpose, community, and identity through experiential learning. Thank you to our wonderful presenters and attendees for the generosity with which you shared your work and engaged with one another. Your voices and perspectives are what made this experience so meaningful.

As we reflect and begin planning for EECC’27, we invite you to:

  • Complete our conference survey to share your feedback
  • Visit our photo gallery to revisit highlights from the event
  • Explore our Manifold for conference materials, recordings, and artifacts

Your feedback and continued engagement help us strengthen EECC as we look ahead to many more conferences to come.

With deep appreciation,
Alison Abreu, Asma Neblett, and Maria Sanchir
