Canto XI

July

Three months,

Now comes the hardest part

I must depart from your arms

An unexplainable need to be alone

takes over me yearly,

But this year there is you

And I want you near

I shorten the trip

I try unsuccessfully to keep in touch

To keep the distance from being part of our thoughts But all attempts fail

Our love works like cocaine

Separation leads to withdraw

I’m going literally insane

All of the sudden I’m ignored

I’m dropped from your world

And my heart gets torn again

Why do I always have to beg for your attention?

I don’t understand your lack of drive or refrain towards

a simple

“I miss you”

I want to believe in your love

But your love doesn’t believe in words

Conflict

Words are the only world I know.

You are in every one of my thoughts

You say I’m in yours too

What makes it so damn difficult for you to REPLY:

“I’m thinking of you too?”

I’m in love and frustrated

I find myself in a dark forest

But then, you pick me up at the airport

And I reach paradise.
