Moving the Needle: From Practice to Impact
Building on the theme of EECC’25, Practices and Possibilities, the second annual Excellence in Education Community Conference (EECC’26), Moving the Needle: From Practice to Impact, invites proposals that explore and demonstrate how equity-focused teaching can transform practice into impact in higher education.
Conference Tracks
I. Belonging: Teaching as a Human-Centered Practice
This track invites proposals that reimagine teaching as a relational, human-centered endeavor, highlighting approaches that cultivate belonging, amplify diverse voices, and support student agency.
II. Equity in a Digital Age: Inclusive Teaching, Technology, and Access
This track explores equity through digital and/or computational technology that include teaching methods for online modes of instruction, accessible course design with technology, open educational resources, ethical uses of technology, and strategies that support student access and engagement through technology.
III. Teaching Forward: Equity, Innovation, and Transformative Learning
This track features innovative and forward-looking pedagogical approaches that center equity in curricular design, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transformative learning experiences.
Who Should Submit ?
Faculty, Students, Staff, and Community Partners are invited to submit proposals that highlight:
- Innovative teaching practices and course redesigns
- Programmatic or curricular initiatives
- Research, assessment, or reflective inquiry
- Digital, hybrid, or technology-enhanced approaches
- Collaborative or interdisciplinary work
