Call for Proposals

The Excellence in Education and Community Conference (EECC '25), April 9, 2025 at Lehman College campus 9 am - 5 pm, hosted by CUNY Lehman College’s Center for Teaching and Learning, invites students, instructors, staff, and Bronx community members from all disciplines and sectors to submit proposals. We seek topics that promote equity, raise awareness, and address societal and community barriers through innovative teaching, learning, and outreach.

Note: This call welcomes proposals from underrepresented disciplines, studies, and relevant organizations in the local Bronx community. This conference seeks for a range of proposals developed at Lehman College and by the Bronx community members, such as projects, case studies, demonstrations, panels, and other enriching and relevant disseminations.

Sessions

We propose a diverse range of session types to accommodate varying presentation styles and engagement approaches. These could include live poster and paper presentations, co-presentations featuring collaborations between instructors and students or staff, interactive workshops that facilitate hands-on activities and reflections, and “Lehman Talks” offering solo or collaborative 10-minute presentations. Other formats might involve live demonstrations, 45-minute panels with time for Q&A, or multi-modal presentations such as pre-recorded sessions, listening sessions, performances, or installations that integrate innovative technologies like virtual reality, live podcasts, and more.
